About the role
Review submitted business concepts, development plans, financial models, infrastructure plans, and feasibility studies Conduct comprehensive compliance checks against applicable SEZ legislation, regulations, and policy frameworks Draft analytical application review reports with recommendations Evaluate investor eligibility, land-use conformity, proposed activities, and zone readiness Prepare regulatory guidance notes and advise applicants on compliance requirements Conduct targeted research and analysis to identify new SEZ development opportunities Develop and package projects for investor attraction Prepare project information memoranda, briefs and sector summaries Engage prospective SEZ developers, operators, and investors through meetings, presentations and targeted outreach Prepare periodic progress reports and dashboards on SEZ development, investments and compliance status Track the operational progress of designated zones and provide after‑care support to investors Coordinate with the M&E Unit to ensure accurate reporting and data alignment Serve as the first point of contact for SEZ regulatory matters before escalation to the Legal Department Ensure effective records management, proactively resolve issues, and deliver timely, well‑coordinated responses to stakeholders Conduct preliminary assessments for feasibility study requests Prepare evaluation notes and monitor funded project outputs Assist with SEZ licensing, renewals, and compliance clarifications Provide one-stop facilitation support for SEZ investors Requirements A degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Development Studies, Law, or related Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in investment analysis, economic research, project appraisal, or related field Demonstrable experience in investment analysis and due diligence Excellent analytical, research, and report writing skills Ability to interpret investment, fiscal, and regulatory frameworks Knowledge of Special Economic Zone operations, Project Finance, Public-Private Partnerships, or regulatory processes are an added advantage
