eRecruitment — University of Zimbabwe eRecruitment University of Zimbabwe Search Go Account Sign In Register Job Listings Post-Doctoral Fellow- Climate Change Back to Listings Post-Doctoral Fellow- Climate Change FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENT AND FOOD SYSTEMS • Institute Of Environment, Climate & Sustainable Development 1 Post Key Responsibilities Coordinate and facilitate collaborative interdisciplinary research projects among faculty, students and partners. Contribute to developing proposals for funding to sustain climate related research initiatives.
Design and deliver a Master’s level module related to climate change, sustainability, or a relevant specialised field. Develop and lead specialised training and capacity-building workshops or short courses for graduate students, faculty and partners. Provide research and professional guidance to a selected number of graduate and/or undergraduate students. Translate research findings into accessible formats (for example, Policy briefs, op-eds) for policymakers, media and the public. Any other duties as maybe assigned by Director. Required Qualifications Applicants should have at least a Ph.D.
in relevant field (e.g. Climate, Environmental Studies, Policy, Engineering, Economics, Social Sciences with a focus on climate) awarded no more than 5 years prior to the start date. A Demonstrated record of high-quality peer reviewed publications commensurate with the applicant’s career stage. Proven experience working effectively across disciplines and engaging with diverse stake holders. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present complex information to academic, policy and public audiences.
Demonstrate organisational and coordination skills to manage complex, multi-faceted projects.
